School Standards

Just as we protect & nurture delicate seedlings in our garden, we aim to ensure our community members are safe & healthy. This agreement between all participants allows each of us the space to grow & mature.

Please review & understand our Standards. Any questions, please contact us! Failure to uphold these standards could result in being asked to leave the program.

General

  • Students should have a inner desire to know more about themselves; the good and the bad, and have a willingness to move through limitations to become their greatest self!

  • Applicants are not gender specific and should be ages 18-24

  • Students will schedule 8 hours for land & home service hours during Service Shifts (Mon-Sat 10am-1pm & 3pm-6pm)

  • Students will need suitable personal & hygiene supplies to be comfortable in their own space

Prohibited Items

  • No drug or alcohol use

  • Prescription Medications need to be brought to our attention and administered privately

Etiquette

  • Quiet times are 9:00pm to 9:00am each day

  • Language: please refine from inappropriate language

  • Communal & personal items are organized throughout the day, leaving all areas tidy with tools and all items put away

  • Maintain Physical Boundaries: No inappropriate physical contact; we don’t know others’ boundaries or how others feel about seeing other’s touch.

Supervision

  • We use Relational Supervision model to know our students. This isn’t just knowing where our students are, it is an understanding of their emotional state, the struggles they work through, their history, their physical whereabouts, the activities they’re engaged in, and their progress or lack thereof. We develop appropriate therapeutic relationship with the students in our care. We see our students for who they really are - sprouts of greatness.

  • Mentors direct the schedule of the service hours, guiding the group towards progress in meeting goals. As Mentors, we hold firm boundaries aimed to ensure safety & well being of all students.

  • Check-ins & Conflict Resolution: Students who check-in with Peers to resolve conflict, should use a Mentor as a mediator and guide. Mentors are here to enable growth and disable inhibitors to growth. To allow them to observe & interact in check-ins, students are encouraging insight and assistance on their Journey.
